6 Reasons to Like the 2018 Buick Regal

We know that shopping for a new car can be both exciting and overwhelming. That’s why the team at Royal Moore GMC is here to help you find the vehicle that best fits your needs, style and budget, and the 2018 Buick Regal may be the one that fits that bill.

Here are six reasons we’re big fans of the 2018 Buick Regal and think you will be too:

1. Let’s Get Technical

The 2018 Buick Regal features a standard 3.6 L V6 engine providing 310 HP, coupled with an electronically-controlled 9-speed automatic transmission for a smooth transition when quickly switching between gears. This makes for a silky-smooth ride.

The front Brembo brakes are also designed to offer great stopping power, complementing the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive with active twin-clutch. You’ll hug the road and feel the responsiveness of the car with these details in place.
Additional features include 18” aluminum wheels, cruise control, 4-wheel ABS and driveline traction control, StabiliTrak electronic stability. Other great add-ons in the standard model are keyless entry, front and rear park assist, a heated steering wheel, and more.

This five-seater boasts 42.1” front seat leg room, and 36.9” rear seat leg room, and a storage capacity of 31.5 cubic feet – 60.7 cf when the rear seats are folded down.
If the GS classic sedan is on your wish list, but not a complete match for your lifestyle, the 2018 Buick Regal also comes as a Sportback or the first-ever TourX wagon edition. Each seats five passengers and has similar standard features like the 2.0L turbo engine in both editions, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS), and the 9-speed or 8-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, respectively.

When it comes to the wheels, the Sportback has standard 17” aluminum wheels with the option to upgrade to 18” 5-spoke aluminum wheels, while the TourX comes with the 18” aluminum option.

But the main differences are seen in the TourX as its standard model has dual-zone automatic climate control, heated driver and front passenger seats, rear vision camera, SiriusXM satellite radio with a 3-month trial, and a heated steering wheel. Only some of these items are upgrades on the smaller Sportback.

2. Solid Gas Mileage

On average, the 2018 Buick Regal has a gas consumption of 21 city miles and 29 highway miles, depending upon your choice of the Sportback (22/32), GS (19/27), or TourX (21/29) model.

With the rising cost of gas reaching $3 a gallon as summer road trip season begins, it’s a great time to consider a car that will deliver you where you want to go without breaking the bank.

3. Higher Performance

The 2018 Buick Regal boasts higher performance inside, and out, of the cabin than previous years. You already know what’s under the hood, but how does it drive?
The Detroit Free Press said it was the “most sophisticated Regal GS ever,” and Cars.comexclaimed it “an excellent touring car, and I'd be more than happy taking it on long trips to utilize its ride quality, quiet cabin and cargo room.”

To keep you on the road longer, the 2018 Buick Regal has a bumper-to-bumper limited warranty for 4 years/50,000 miles, Powertrain/Drivetrain limited warranty for 6 Years/70,000 Miles, a 6-year/70,000 Mile Roadside Assistance Program, Rust Warranty for 4 Years/50,000 Miles and Rust-Through for 6 Years/Unlimited Miles.

4. Foundation For Safety

While the official 2018 ratings aren’t yet available, the 2017 Buick Regal received approval ratings from both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as the top-rated “Good” and “Five Stars,” respectively.

Not only does it achieve a “Good” across the main “Crashworthiness” tests for moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints & seats in response to an impact, but it rated superior. This foundation of excellence will make the 2018 Buick Regal a most likeable car, and we are already in love.

The standard safety features of the GS model include lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert, and rear park assist – all options on the Sportback and TourX. Also available across the 2018 Buick Regal fleet is lane keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, low speed forward automatic braking, and front pedestrian braking.

5. Three Designs

You have five 2018 Buick Regal GS exterior body colors to choose from. Each bold and eye-catching, from the striking Sporty Red to sharp Ebony Twilight Metallic to Quicksilver Metallic, standout Smoked Pearl Metallic and White Frost Tricoat.
The Sportback has eight body colors to catch your eye, including the Smoked Pearl Metallic, White Frost Metallic, Quicksilver Metallic and Ebony Twilight Metallic, and added options for Dark Moon Blue Metallic, Rioja Red Metallic, Carrageen Metallic, and Summit White.

For the first-ever TourX edition, it’s going to be a tough choice between some of your favorites from the GS and Sportback models, with a color palette of eight options: Summit White, Sport Red, Ebony Twilight Metallic, Quicksilver Metallic, Smoked Pearl Metallic, Dark Blue Moon Metallic, Rioja Red Metallic, and White Frost Tricoat.

6. Even More Options

Modern-day tech innovations can boost your 2018 Buick Regal to a whole new level. With the GS standard model, you’ll already be equipped with OnStar Guidance Plan Limited Trial Service and 4G LTE with built-in wifi hotspot for up to seven compatible devices.

Plus, you can access the MyBuick App and control a number of features from locking/unlocking your vehicle to remote start, tire pressure check, and other diagnostics.

Want even more? Swing for a power moonroof and a Bose premium 8-speaker system.

The 2018 Buick Regal takes convenience and practicality to a whole new level.
